Bear Grylls' Unsung Hero Award 2022

On Friday 23rd September 2022 I was so pleased and honoured to be awarded a Bear Grylls’ Unsung Hero Award at the Bear Grylls Adventure Centre at the NEC in Birmingham for my Treats For Kids work. My Cubs leader Phil nominated me for the award. There were 21 Unsung Heroes awarded on the day and it was so inspiring to hear all their stories and hear how many have overcome very difficult situations to do something which makes such a big impact and helps others. I attended the award ceremony with my family and even got to meet Bear Grylls which was incredible. After the ceremony we got to take part in fun activities including an assault course, indoor sky diving and snorkelling with sharks. I had such a fun day!
